Irqah Hospital

Irqah hospital was built in 1987 on a 60,000 m2 block in Irqah neighborhood, west of Riyadh. The deco-revival building wasn’t operated until 1990 when it housed a number of Kuwaiti families during the gulf war that year, it partly operated as a private medical facility in the mid to late nineties. The complex includes several buildings, where the main 8-story structure houses the primary hospital program of clinics and operation units. In addition to a two story reception area connected to the front part the structure. The stone cladding wraps around the exterior of the building, with various deco-inspired gold details and ornamentation on the facade. The complex also includes a separate mosque, outpatient clinics, as well as staff housing and recreational areas on the premises.
