مسجد البحيرة - جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن

KFUPM Lake Mosque

يقع مسجد البحيرة في حضن مساحة مائية في جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن،الظهران. المسجد هو امتداد من تخطيط وتصميم الجامعة الذي عملت عليه CRS لمدة ٢٥ عاما. وفقاً لمركز CRS، كان التصميم قائماً على تجريد الزخارف المعمارية المحلية والعربية بشكل عام، ومن ثم تكييفها وإخراجها مع الخرسانة المصبوبة كمادة رئيسية مستخدمة في بناء المسجد. المنارة متوسطة الفناء الداخلي للمسجد الذي يؤدي إلى قاعة الصلاة الرئيسية.

Nestled around a body of water in the King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran. CRS worked for 25 years on the planning and design of this university, which the mosque serves as an extension to. According to the CRS center, the design was based on the abstraction of local, Arab, architectural motifs and their adaptation to poured concrete as a material used throughout this building. The minerate is centered around a courtyard that leads into the main prayer hall.
